Title: “On the variability of the superoutburst cycle lengths of SU UMa type dwarf novae”
Abstract: The individual epochs of superoutburst maxima of a total of 26 well observed SU UMa stars have been analized, with the aim determining variations in their cycle lenghts at all available time scales, between few months up to several decades. Most of our targets revealed significant periodic or quasi-periodic variability in three different time scales (short-term, mid-term and long-term). We show the most important properties of these three classes of variability and discuss also their interrelations. The astrophysical consequences of this very striking behaviour of superoutbursts are still unknown.
