Title: “Evolution and survivability of open star clusters in models with a density cusp and low star formation efficiency”

Abstract: Models of open star clusters with low star formation efficiency (SFE) are currently being actively studied to understand the history of star formation in galaxies. In these models, only a small fraction of the primordial gas converts into stars. Then a stellar feedback from the newly born massive stars cleans up the star-formation region from the residual gas within a short timescale before the first supernova explosion. We investigate the question of how the density profiles of the initial gas cloud affect the subsequent evolution of star clusters. We use cuspy gas density profiles and the corresponding Dehnen density profiles for star clusters with various concentrations of matter in the centre. Utilizing a large number of N-body models with different concentration indices and SFEs, we determine the evolution of mass of the clusters after instantaneous gas expulsion and draw conclusions about their survivability.
