The international conference «Accretion Processes in Cosmic Sources-II» was held within date 3rd-8th September 2018 by the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences and was supported by the Russian Academy of Sciences and by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.

This conference is the second in the cycle, the first one was held also by the Institute of Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Russian Federation in the year 2016. There were a lot of participants during the conference from 15 different countries, along them Russia, Italy, China, Japan, USA, South Africa, Spain, Austria, Mexico, Germany, Turkey, Poland, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Slovakia. The conference was devoted the most actual task of the modern astrophysics. The analysis of the features of the accretion processes in the considered at the conference non-uniformly scaled astrophysical objects (including young stellar objects, cataclysmic variables, X-ray binary systems and active galactic nuclei) allows to determine the common for all scales phenomena and in this way to perform the investigation of this task. Moreover, at the conference were discussed other important problems that are related to the accretion processes such as the sources of the gravitational waves and exoplanets.

Among the invited participants were leading world-wide experts for each topic of the conference. Logical balance through the general review talks and the presentations of the new experimental and theoretical results provided the high scientific level of the conference and at the same time allowed to speak one language for all the participants from the sufficiently different scientific fields. The organizers of the conference hope that all participants became the practical profit from the acquaintance of the results of their colleagues from the related fields and that they will use all the presented results in their further investigations.
