Title: “Does giant gas planet formation affect the chemical composition of the host star atmosphere?”

Abstract: The problem of the planet formation effect on the chemistry of the host star atmosphere is widely discussed during the last decade. The most accurate observational results can be obtained from the differential abundance analysis of the wide pairs with the detected planet orbiting around one of the components. Note, that binary components should have the same primordial abundances by definition. We present the results of the detailed abundance analysis of the three wide pairs of different metallicity with the detected planets and the same for two pairs without detected planets. We did not find any significant difference between the atmospheric abundances of the components in all 5 pairs that provides us with the evidence of a negligible effect of giant-gas planet formation on the host star atmosphere. Moreover, the detailed analysis of the multiple results obtained for the best-studied wide binaries 16 Cyg with giant planet and HD 219542 without detected planet showed that the abundance difference between the components derived in a few studies and interpreted by effect of planet formation is a linear function of the corresponding temperature difference.
