The goal of a detailed discussion about the two possibilities is that of convincing the audience that SS Cygni is magnetic. This CV is placed just in the area of the intermediate polars in the Lipunov&#8217;s diagram log Pspin Vs y (Spin period of the white dwarf Vs the Gravimagnetic parameter).
