A characterization of the plasma environment around &#8220;Hot Jupiters&#8221; may help us to understand the physical principles of gas giant magnetosphere generation in general. Transit observations of HD 209458b with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) showed a 15+\/-4% absorption depth in the stellar Lyman-alpha line at 1215.67 A and confirmed theoretical studies that the planet&#8217;s thermosphere is heated by the stellar EUV radiation and expands up to the Roche lobe distance. Additional to the explanation that the stellar radiation pressure may accelerate planetary H atoms to the high velocities which are responsible for the stellar Lyman-alpha absorption, it will be shown that applied direct simulation Monte Carlo and stellar wind flow models which can calculate energetic neutral atoms (ENAs) can reproduce the HST observations more accuratelly. This further strengthens the hypothesis that the Lyman-alpha absorption caused by ENAs and future UV transit observations with space observatories such as WSO-UV, together with advanced modeling techniques build a powerful tool for remote sensing of exoplanetary exosphere-magnetosphere and stellar wind environment.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u0414\u043e\u043a\u043b\u0430\u0434\u0447\u0438\u043a:<\/b> <i><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u041a\u0430\u0431\u0430\u043d\u043e\u0432 \u0410.\u0410.
